The above question is always in my mind. So I hope that this school semester with this physics class will feed me an answer to my question. I know ther is an internet for me to get an answer but its more interesting if I will involved myself in gaining the answer. Mas maganda kasi na on hand ka sa pagtuklas.

I am very grateful to learn again Physics and now in my college life. I firmly believe that Repetition is a process of learning. I am looking forward to learn with my classmates and teacher and to refresh what I've learned. As I would relate myself to the subject it states that Physics is a natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through SPACETIME, along with related concepts such as ENERGY and FORCE.
ReplyDeleteIn our world of where we happily live that there has been two types that has been created. Things to Act and Things to be Acted upon. Like a chair it will ever move unless we won't apply force unto it, whether push or pull. We humans can move or act according to our own free will and choice. Indeed the chair is a type that belongs to the Things to be acted upon and We humans are the ones who acts according to what we choose.
Yet, I personally believe that I or We could also fall on the Things to be acted upon group. Especially if we do not do our duties or responsibilities as a student, son/daughter or parent and etc. As born in this world we have a purpose in life each one of us and if we become Idle we can never achieve our goals. Especially with our Family that has been entrusted to us we have a sacred responsibility.I know Desire dictate priorities and priorities shape our choices and choices determine our actions. May we live in our fullest potential. We need the ENERGY, FORCE and TIME to prepare ourselves and become the kind of sons or daughters Our Heveanly Father expects us to be.
Physics is an interesting subject. In fact,one of the oldest Science. in every University, students must require this subject.
ReplyDeleteIn whatever course you are taking, there is a relationship between Physics and Psychology though they are both Science. As a college student, I should have the discipline to study science Physics. I should have the part to participate, listen and understand what is the secret in it why it is too important in ourselves as well in our country.
Physics describes myself as a student. Jesevil T. Caballero is my full name. Do my name relates in Physics? Why?. My answer is YES. How come?...Well, you have the honor to think why and where my name comes. My name reflects my personality in school, private and public. I always ask questions for the problems, think and get for the solutions. That's what Physics like.
Physics is truly a hard subject!!!because when i was high school there are lots of formula to be memorized.There are lots of solving involved like measurements,volume,etc.but still i should have to focus in this subject because i know that physics is essential in understand how things operate.

ReplyDeleteIndeed physics plays a pivotal role not just in our field of study but also in our daily lives. We may encounter a certain events that physics could explain through it. Such as why does Manny Pacquiao lost during his fight with Timothy Bradley,why is it that a roller coaster could spin so fast,how Lebron James can fly to the NBA ring to shot the ball and what makes the cellular phones produces pictures etc. Everything can be explained in physics by exploring its nature and trying to figure out "why things exist and how it goes". Aside from that physics could fuel-up our mind in finding a solution to the problems that we encounter.

October Sky is the perfect movie for inspiring young people to follow their dreams. It follows the story of Homer Hickam who dreamt of building and designing his own rocket. Inspired by the launching of the Soviet satellite Sputnik in the late 1950's, his curiosity was sparked and along with his friends, they set out to make their own rocket. They were all passionate about their work and took it very seriously. Their teacher, Miss Riley, who wanted them to have better lives instead of becoming coal miners like most people in their town, further encouraged them. The Rocket Boys, as they were known, were determined to build this rocket and did not easily give up despite the numerous failed attempts. Being observant was needed by the Rocket Boys in doing their experiment. Patience was also seen in them because even though people made fun of them, they were not deterred and still continued with what they were doing. By looking at the wrong things they did and examining and analyzing their data thoroughly, they were able to perfect the rocket launching. They were resourceful in looking for ways to come up with the funds they needed for some of the rocket parts. They even went to the extent of making use of old railroad tracks to earn the money. When they were banned from performing their experiment in Coalwood, they found a spot miles away from their town so they could continue their project without people getting hurt. They were also optimistic in completing their project and of getting scholarships from universities so that they could become more educated people.
When the police thought that their rocket caused a forest fire in a nearby town, the Rocket Boys were blamed and arrested. Still, they were open-minded to this possibility but were able to disprove this in the end when Homer figured out the trajectory of the rocket and was able to locate it. He was also able to provide proof and had all of them cleared of any charges....
that is true physics is so many solution more chalege to me.. and also Physics is the scientific study of matter and energy and how they interact with each other.
DeleteThis energy can take the form of motion, light, electricity, radiation, gravity . . . just about anything, honestly. Physics deals with matter on scales ranging from sub-atomic particles (i.e. the particles that make up the atom and the particles that make up those particles) to stars and even entire galaxies.
As I had taken physics during my high school years, I could say that this subject is not easy for me because its more about solutions and numbers. As a definition, physics is the scientific study of matter and its motion through spacetime, along with related concepts such as energy and force, and how they interact with each other. By its definition, physics usually expressed mathematically about how a given physical systems works. Its also more in inventory just like the film “October Sky” or the “rocket Boys”. It tackles on how that particular matter can be useful in some other ways. Although I said a while ago that physics is not easy for me, I think we should love this subject and I'm sure we will enjoy it to discover anything that is possible, however we can gain more knowledge and about physics. ;-)
ReplyDeleteback when I was on high school too, although a difficult subject one, physics for me seems have a interesting part also for it always gives hints & explanation into question of some things which is not easily explain by our logic sense at first glance. Kanang makaingun btaw kag,"aahh mao d.i.." Time for us to discover some interesting facts about physical matter of this world. Dealing with problem solving and numbers, I'm not that good at it, but however its a very nature part to learn. They say that if you cannot measure things and express it in numbers, knowledge can just be unsatisfactory kind. So fights na rin, we can deal with it as a challenge. I think all we must have is the desire to learn then it can be interesting all the time, not just boring and analytical. Been missing to relearn some topics, laws, principles and finding the causes that govern some order. Well I guess, it's time for PHYSICS. :)

So, this time [college life], I am more excited to have physics subject again which is not only sounds interesting but for me, it also motivates my interest in this physical world.
ReplyDeletePHYSICS=CHALLENGE!!! and i love challenges that's why i love physics. This is not to mean that i am very good on the subject but rather, this is a way of affirming my optimism because i believe that no subject is hard enough for a student who is craving to learn. As a student of physics, I look forward to appreciating this subject a lot better than before in high school. I am not aiming to be the next Einstein, Newton or Halley and neither do I dream of becoming a physicist, but I am human and so, I need to understand this physical world around me because that's what satisfies my very nature that is: to wonder.

ReplyDeleteIt is a great movie especially for those individuals who are striving to earn their share of achievement in life. Notwithstanding, it showcases how physics work in the field of rocket science and gives you a glimpse on the wonders of science itself. It not only takes you back in time of a classic American setting, it also takes you to different emotions as the movie rolls on. Its a great story of family, dreams and science. TWO THUMBS UP!!!

ReplyDeleteOctober Sky is a movie which states a true story happened to a boy. The high five principles are seen in the movie as the boy makes his journey to make is dream a reality. The high five principles are change is constant, learning is ongoing, focus on the journey, follow your heart and access your allies. These principles are important not just to the character in the movie but for every one on earth who make their journey into the depths of careers and jobs.
Change is constant because today will not be the same as tomorrow and yesterday was not the same as today. Change can be categorized into long term or short term depending on the kind of change you look at. In the movie the boy dropped out of the football team and when he saw a satellite, he decided to be an engineer on making rockets. Another change was when the boy gave up on is dream and went to coal mining instead for a short amount of time then went back to his dream. A long term change in the movie would be when the coal mine got

In this eclectic story of a young man and his friends get inspired to follow their own destination and never give up. Regardless of what financial and society status was against them, they still delivered their dream.
One major obstacle that Homer Hickham has to endure to realize his dream on becoming a rocket scientist was the lack of support from his father. His father John Hickham worked in a mine as a manager that dealt with many of the problems the mining company had. John Hickham’s life revolved around the mine like everyone else in the town of Coalwood, the mine was the only reason for the existence of the city. For that reason his father being so wrapped in the mine, he would not support he would not support because, Homer refused to follow in his father’s footsteps. Many of time, Homer asked his father to come and watch him launch rockets but, he said je was always busy

ReplyDeleteOctober Sky is a very inspiring film.During film viewing I felt how motivating it is to have the awareness of what you really want in life and the determination to fulfill it.When I watched the movie I was deeply touched and inspired by it.it makes me re-evaluate my life and inspires me to go after what I value most. It makes me realize that I, too, can do what most people will tell me is impossible. It inspires me to keep trying and keep dreaming.
The story in the movie October Sky has many similarities to the situation of starting a company as an entrepreneur. The trial and error process is a main theme as Homer, the founder of the Big Creek Missile Agency, begins to launch rockets into the sky. This is the main correlation between October Sky and the process of becoming an entrepreneur. The Big Creek Missile Agency's first rocket could be considered a success or failure depending on how you view their accomplishment. The rocket was constructed of an empty tube of a flashlight with a hole in one side filled with cherry bomb powder. After seeing the Sputnik satellite in the sky, Homer found a passion for learning about and involving himself with rockets. A similar passion is needed to pursue a business as an entrepreneur. ReplyDeleteOctober sky was an inspiring movie.. it motivates the individual to very persistent to work in every dream they want for their life..Even though we faces a lot of barriers, it is not the reason to give up..instead it gives us the ability to strive harder just to fulfill the dreams we want. We have to try and try and try until we succeed..That's how the 4 boys in the story did. They keep on trying to their experiments to have a better results and they have finally made it.
